Costume drama on paper. Rococo gowns at Versailles, vintage portraits of Betty, Connie with her chocolate, Amelie lost in a book, and a Winter Queen with her crown.
The draw here is fabric: silk, lace, velvet and fur all behave differently under a pencil, and all four turn up on the same page more often than not. Historic palettes help too — you can go period-accurate and muted, or ignore that entirely and make the dress emerald.
One of the largest collections I have, and the one that attracts the most patient colorists.
